In Miami, Florida, in early June 2014 Held 35th Hemispheric Congress of Latin Chambers of Commerce and Industry CAMACOL - the largest annual forum 22 chambers’ of commerce, trade organizations and government agencies involved in the exchange of goods and services, as well as the expo of the largest companies in Latin America.
By participating in this event, Polish companies had the opportunity to showcase their offerings with markets of both of the Americas, as well as establish contacts with companies from the U.S. and Latin America, with a long term perspective of increasing trade with these countries. Participation in this project undoubtedly provides an opportunity to open new prospective markets for Polish companies.
At this 35th Congress a special place was reserved for Poland and thanks to the commitment of the Polish Embassy in Washington and co-operation with Polish-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida and the PARP Polish Days were held (the Conference "Poland - United States - Latin America Business Opportunities").
In the Congress participated following voivodeship from Poland: Subcarpathian (represented by Marshal Wladyslaw Ortyl), Lower Silesia (represented by Marshal Cezary Przybylski), Lubuskie (represented by the Deputy Speaker Bogdan Nowak), Silesia (represented by the Vice President of the city of Gliwice Krystian Tomala).
The Congress CAMACOL 2014 was attended by representatives of the city of Gliwice and the Upper Silesian Agency for Entrepreneurship and Development Ltd. (who coordinated the whole mission for companies in our region http://youtu.be/iJ4cK1g_IB4, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9EosyqX9xM) and some of preselected Silesian companies (key element of choice was the company's industry and business innovation):
The Congress program included seminars, panel discussions, meetings and direct contact with business representatives from the Americas (matchmaking sessions). During the mission was launched the Polish Pavilion at Miami Free Zone.
On the first day of the Hemispheric Congress, the Upper Silesian Agency for Entrepreneurship and Development Ltd. and the Polish Trade Center Corporation have signed a Framework Agreement on Cooperation. The agreement is relevant to our city and GAPR, defining the objectives and principles of cooperation. The agreement provides an opportunity to increase interest in the conduct of investment by foreign companies in our region and to facilitate cooperation between Polish entrepreneurs and American partners.
