The project aims to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems by disseminating specialist knowledge and free tools developed and tested in the project, which will help local companies overcome development barriers and introduce innovative solutions into the production value chain.

 

CHAIN REACTIONS – Driving smart industrial growth through value chain innovation

 

The objective of the project is to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems by disseminating specialist knowledge and free tools developed and tested in the project, which will help local companies overcome development barriers and introduce innovative solutions into the production value chain.

 The business sectors for which the tools are created in the project are: advanced manufacturing industries (aviation, space), ICT, electronics, energy, environment, medicine and bio-economy.

Duration: May 2019 – April 2022

 

 PROJECT PARTNERS:

  • An international project implemented with the participation of 11 partners from 8 countries
  • Pannon Business Network Association (Hungary) – project leader

BUSINESS SECTORS COVERED BY THE PROJECT:

  • Advanced manufacturing industries (aviation, space, etc.)
  • ICT
  • Electronics
  • Energy
  • Environment
  • Medicine
  • Bio-economy

RESULTS:

  • 10 triple helix partnerships (business-science-local government) working for innovation and growth
  • Mutual learning training and mentoring platform
  • Establish a network of value chain observatories to analyze selected industry sectors and their value chains and implement the developed models and instruments (pilot)
  • Detailed value chain analysis in 10 target regions for 5 industry sectors: Advanced Manufacturing, ICT & Electronics, Energy & Environment, Medicine, Bio-economy
  • 5 transnational pilot projects (one per industrial sector)
